# Games/Tournaments

In order to compete, Holding Squid NFTs while watching Tournaments will earn you $DNA — or can be purchased. Like the letters in a DNA chain, this token will be used to imprint yourself into our Tournaments and begin your legacy. You must be a holder of The Squids to generate $DNA. The tournaments will run as follows:

* Tournaments will last a total of 10 days
* 1 Day will be allotted to vote on the type of game tournament players will compete
* Voting is used to pick between 3 different types of games
* 1 Day will be used for each game and a total of 5 will be played
* Each time a game ends, the surviving members will vote for the next game OR they will decide to split the prize pool between all winners (majority vote of winners will decide this).
* If a Tournament goes to the end, there will only be 1 player left…and they will win the WHOLE POT of PRIZE MONEY
* Players who lose can buy EXTRA LIVES using $DNA to give themselves an edge
* 1NFT = 1 LIFE…Multiple NFTs will give Multiple lives
* discounts will be given to holders with multiple NFTs:

(2–5 NFTs Held) 5% Discount on $DNA

(6–10 NFTs Held) 10% Discount on $DNA

(+10 NFTs Held) 15% Discount on $DNA
